Hot Spring Baths (Onsen)

Tatsuta Ryokan offers indoor and outdoor hot spring baths accessible 24 hours a day. Guests can use four private onsen baths - two indoors and two outdoors in a bamboo grove - without prior reservation by scanning a QR code to check availability. The hot spring water also feeds the private open-air bath in select river-view rooms.

Kaiseki Dining by the River

Traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast are served on the kawadoko, a wooden terrace overlooking the river. The kaiseki-style meals change seasonally and feature local ingredients such as wasabi from nearby farms. Guests wearing yukata provided by the ryokan can enjoy the meals under heated kotatsu tables even during winter.

Room Options with River Views

The ryokan has Japanese-style rooms with tatami mats and futon beds, as well as twin rooms with private open-air baths facing the river. Some rooms include a seating area, a kettle, and a flat-screen TV. All rooms have private bathrooms with bath and shower, slippers, and free toiletries.

Tatsuta Ryokan Izu is a 5-minute walk from Yugashima Onsenguchi Bus Stop, with a complimentary shuttle from that stop. The hotel sits within Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, near Joren Waterfall - one of Japan's top 100 waterfalls. Wasabi farms, which produce 50% of Japan's wasabi, are a short bus ride away.
